So, I finally got the entire Book 2 collection of Avatar DVDs (y'know, the boxed set?) While watching the Blind Bandit with audio commentary (from the creators), they mentioned Toph learning earthbending from badgermoles.
They also metioned this idea they were trying to fit in the show somewhere of 5-year-old Toph finding her way into some badgermole tunnels and finding the badgermoles and learning earthbending. It sounded cute, I could just imagine little Toph and these huge badgermoles, so I decided to draw it.
I used chalk pastels and pencil to give the picture some earthy texture and feeling.

This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
